Love this, Linda. You describe how I have often felt as my gardening learning curve has been slow. Nature's feedback is not fast! I am thrilled when I can recognize and name a plant (my latest: lamb's ear) and know which green things are weeds (though I am currently stumped by a few new items showing up in my garden). I am starting to realize how I can turn my gaze to the successes I've had rather than focusing on what I still have to learn.

Ah, thank you Julie. Yes, "the successes vs what is still to learn." so true. And the garden is more forgiving of us than we are of ourselves sometimes. It is the ultimate classroom, filled with patient teachers who embrace the 'fail-forward' approach to learning. I wish you much success and beautiful learning.

The offerings of your garden are priceless & heartwarming. It is a Herculean task to maintain & manage gardens, but it is worth every drop of perspiration. The winged species visiting the gardens and their chirping add beauty to the entire milieu. Loved it, Linda. :)
