a couple others of us know the “how should I look” struggle. Well, speaking for myself I know that gambit far too well. I’m glad that you spoke your truth. With clarity and conviction.
Recently I’ve been micro-dosing guidance that focuses on our breath and our gratitude. Following
straightforward steps I have begun feeling more able to be comfortable in my skin. A couple nights ago, the instructor (in her slow, soft, and kind voice) taught a simple mantra. I’d like to share it with you now:
“I am safe; I am loved; I am seen; I am heard.” I feel privileged to have an instructor with a comforting voice, one not rushing through the sessions, and intent on helping us learn.
I liked the short, created by The Gate For Children in the UK. So attuned to today’s teens. Remember when broadcast media had Public Service Announcements, PSA’s. If an equivalent existed today the impact would hopefully be to open eyes and hearts. Thanks so much, Linda, for this dandy post.
Growing up I felt anything but safe, loved, or heard. I adopted acting out to be seen and heard. Defied authority. Then came my 30-year drinking career. Abandoned entirely 27 ya.
Thank you Gary, this response peels like a sweet onion. Such beautiful practices -- breath work and gratitude. Microdosing in so many things can be important medicine. I appreciate your thoughtful replies so much, they allow me to see the next layers in myself and you. Be well, and congratulations on 27 years!
Hi Linda, I always recall the line from the BB, “What we have is a daily reprieve, contingent on the maintenance of our spiritual condition.” A tall order of business? Not if I remember the endless misery. Especially the last decade. I celebrate my anniversary on Valentine’s Day.
Love the video - and love you and your (unnecessary to my ear) apologies.
I simply love it and no need to apologise!
Hahaha. Thank you Alex.
Thanks for sharing this video. Love it, and your words.
What a fabulous video! Great article, thanks for sharing.
Thank you Cynthia! I appreciate you so much.
